Are inhaled insluns really effective in the treatment of diabetes?

Recently approved by the FDA, inhalaed insulins were released into the market claiming that it can contribute a great deal in the treamtent of diabetes especially type 1 diabetes.
To answer the question of crack_mle, it has already been approved by the FDA and released in the market. In fact, if I am not mistaken, the pharmaceutical company that carries this drug is Pfiser.

Short term only and quick acting.
Usually taken 15-30 mins before a meal.
Given in addition to long acting Insulin

My opinion, works but only replaces the short rapid insulins taken before a meal.
